I, Christopher T. Bayley, Prosecuting Attorney for
King County in the name and by the authrority of the state of
Washington, by this Information do accuse Laurence William Bennett,
of the crime of theft in the first degree, committed as
follows:
That the defendant Laurence William Bennett, in King
County, Washington, during a period of time intervening between
April 19, 1976, through October 27, 1976, with intent to
deprive another of property, to-wit: lawful money of the United
States, did obtain control over such property belonging to
Nationwide Insurance Company, by color and aid of deception;
that the value of such property did exceed $1,500;
Contrary to RcW 9A.56.030(1) (a)/.020(1)(b), and
against the peace and dignity of the stat of Washington.

MARY KAY BARBIERI, being first duly sworn on oath,
deposes and says:
That she is a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for King
County and is familiar with the investigation conducted in
this case;
That this motion for the determination of the exist-
ence of probale cause is based on the following:
SPD case No. 77-121215 indicates that the defendant was
involved in a car accident; that then he applied to his insurance
company for compensation for lost wages, indicating that he was
a pilot for Skyways Northwest; that the submitted documentation
(puportedly from a doctor and from the manager of Skyways) was
forged; that the defendant received $5,800 from the insurance
company and was entitled to none of it.
